Delete your LOCA Maps account and data

In the app: Settings → tap your name → Delete account. It is deleted at once.

Or by email: write to [email protected] with the subject “Delete my LOCA Maps account”. We delete it within 30 days and tell you when it is done.

1. Send the request

  1. Email [email protected] with the subject “Delete my LOCA Maps account”.
  2. Send it from the email address of the Loca account you sign in to LOCA Maps with. If you do not use email, give the phone number of that Loca account and the name LOCA Maps shows for you, so we find the right account.
  3. We reply to confirm, delete within 30 days, and tell you when it is done.

2. What we delete

  • Your LOCA Maps account: the name, email, phone number and profile picture it received from Loca, and every sign-in.
  • Saved places, recent searches, recorded trips and history synced to the account.
  • Points, levels and mission progress.
  • Your notification settings, and the link between the account and notifications on your devices.
  • Anything you sent that is still waiting for review (new places, corrections, photos, business claims) is withdrawn.

3. What stays, without your name

Reviews, photos, places and corrections already published on the map stay, because they describe places other people rely on — but no longer show your name or link to you. If you want those removed as well, say so in your request and we will remove them.

4. Your Loca account

Deleting your LOCA Maps account does not delete your Loca account (the Loca app you sign in with). To delete that too, do it in the Loca app or contact Loca.

5. Without an account

LOCA Maps works without an account. What is kept on your phone, such as search history, can be cleared in the app, or by removing the app.
